Thank you, Malc, was aware of that. The one year delay starts the very year I was meant to claim my pension. Bastards!
Just to say thanks to everyone who noticed it was my birthday yesterday mainly due to Facebook and Fetlife pointing it out. Been a difficult year what with the builders destroying and replacing the front of my house at enormous expense (pic of what it looked like at its worst below) but, after more than six months, apart from a second coat of floor paint on the steps to the basement it is now done so I'm slowly going back to the proper job of getting people messy! We will also be asking you shortly what services you'd like us to provide in the future.
Thanks for the continued support (those who do!) and here's to an extra year of sploshing before I retire!
Bill

The blue is actually the netting to stop masonry falling on passers-by. The house is now re-rendered and a nice staid magnolia (pale custard) colour. Inside the walls are the colour of whatever's been thrown last!

I'm surprised you didn't approach Ambrosia or Birds to sponsor your external re decoration Bill. Belated happy birthday mate.....some of us are actually quite pleased that you'll have to do an extra year's sploshing as your day job
