My first copy of Splosh! magazine

Chat, flirt and fantasise about everything wet and messy

Bill will be so pleased you said that. He sometimes says he feels a bit of a dinosaur. Yes there is a lot more stuff around now, but some is rubbish (in my opinion) and a lot very repetitive. We are slowly putting together the facilities to make what we hope will be good quality, messy, funny stuff for the internet. Then it won't be the internet killing Splosh! magazine but Splosh! rejuvenating the internet!

The Silly House is "a bit of a rehearsal" for Bill, but it has got him working on material every week which is good. However, we both wonder whether people are now so happy with the 'average' stuff around on some sites that they wouldn't be bothered with ours.

I really hope that isn't the case cos Bill loves making it, and he should be encouraged. Saying people still think some of the old stuff is good helps a lot, so please keep it up!

Sorry to appear to be big-upping ourselves but I think the fat old git deserves a bit of praise now and again (and it won't be for his dancing!)

Love

Hooray!!! All hail the return of Splosh!

There is a lot of 'average' stuff out there... The Silly House stuff is excellent ... I've posted a few of my fave vidcaps from Slime and Punishment below (hope you don't mind)

My only criticism is that there isn't enough old fashioned gunge, i.e. it seems to be more focussed on pies. As you can probably tell from the pics I've posted on the forum and from my comments here, I'm more of a gunge fan and not too keen on pies - especially the tradional 'shaving foam' pies which I think can actually spoil a good messy set.

Its all about consistency and colour... My weapons of choice would be soup, beans, yoghurt etc. and the old favourite... custard. I think its something to do with gunge clinging to the figures of the models that keeps it sexual - I find some pie sets a bit dissapointing cause the models bodies end up being unrecognisable shapeless masses - it might as well be Bill under there beneath all those pies sometimes!!! (now there's a frightening thought)

Don't say sorry! Your videos easily stand the test of time and I look forward to seeing more in the future. The video quality is excellent on Gilly's site and the site is easy to navigate and has a good quantity of content.

The videos have a definite Splosh feel to them which is missing in alot of other internet sources - it was great to see the return of Sammy Jane too! Maybe one day you and Bill will make my day and track down Emma for a gungey comeback.... hey, I can dream!

Keep up the good work!

I think the biggest problem in terms of reams of repetitive and mediocre WAM material dominating the scene is that the standard site model at present is a paysite updated weekly, with quantity rather than quality as the primary focus - you have to be able to advertise sixty squillion full bedspread size hi-res images, ninety-seven video files and six telepathic mindfucks every week in order to stand out in what is now a competitive business with a limited pool of customers. Most sites are the work of a small group of enthusiasts and this pressure to shit out constant updates every week no matter what can burn out the creative spark in a hurry, not to mention sucking the fun out of the whole thing (which will then come across in the material).

A lot of people (including us at Wamdrogony for our full movies) are considering pay per download as the site model of the future because you can release stuff when it's ready without having to commit to a daft update schedule and people can get what they want when they want it. It's a bugger to set up at the moment with all sorts of problems to address, but as more and more usable solutions become available it could well become the standard before long.

I record seeing an ad for it in a "normal" porno mag. Don't recall which, but it was British. The idea of a whole magazine devoted to WAM was very exciting, so I paid the expense of an international money order and got a copy.
Sorry, don't recall what my first issue was. But it was one of the black and white cover ones.

Pay per view is definitely the way forward, and the way we shall be going. As Miss Helen says the pressure to turn out vast quantities of material to keep subscribers happy results in that "if it's Thursday it mut be cake batter" type video some US porn stars are turning out right now. Don't want to do that. I want it to be like the old days where I thought of something funny to go and film, got some people together and did it. If it's crap then, never mind, we had a laugh and we won't bother putting it up.

Subscription sites doubtless make more money but for every good film there are probably a few clunkers just to provide the weekly update. Also we want to be highly varied in what we do (some clothed, some nude, some messy, some wet, some pies etc) and there is no way a subscriber would be happy if he only liked one of those things. Our way he can download the bits he wants (eg just pies, just shoes, just satin etc). Technically though, it is as Helen says a bit of a nightmare.

As for the Silly House...I didn't invent it, I just took it over! The basic premise was purely foam pies and a Tiswas/clown feel with Benny Hill costumes etc (and Gilly's very silly performances!) but the original owner soon ran out of ideas and I took it on. Gilly and I decided we wanted to keep it very much a pie/slapstick site rather than a beans and everything else one, so we have stuck to that. Having said that, the pie count has gone up massively since I took over and we do use gunge, eggs, water and other stuff (like treacle and syrup) now and again. As for it being easy to navigate, that's down to Tim the techie guy.

Talking of whih I have to deliver the new GSH film to Tim now (wet jeans and wet tights fans will love tis one!), so must dash....

This the way forward for the Wamdrogony experince, we looked into the dvds with advice from Mandy and Splosh, in the end we shelved the dvd idea due to the fact it was just too much hassle. We do try to do it like the old days esp when its done with a view to pies and gunge. We have the same policy if its crap we'll just bin it, but we'll have had a damn good laugh on the way.

My first copy of Splosh was number 11 I think.... from the shop in Old Compton Street . . . . . . .

It's was a funny thing, coz I was looking for other fetish material at the time and I was gobsmacked to find it . . . . . . . WOW ! Others do this and get kicks from it ?

Strangely after purchasing the mag, I had to walk around the shop . . .
perusing other fetish material before I could leave the shop . . . . . if you know what I mean . . . . . .
   that is to say I needed a moment or two to calm . . . . . down, so to speak . . . .
Who ate all the pies ? What a waste of pie !

Ah, the old times.... I had all the early Splosh mags (right from Splosh 1, which I remember seeing advertised, maybe in Fiesta - or Razzle?). In fact prior to Splosh, I remember the WAM slide sets from Roger in Tenby. Seems I really am that old - still, it's been an interesting journey along the way - and I hope it doesn't stop!
It wasn't that long ago that I'd punch someone in the face when they pissed me off; now I just delete them from Facebook - that'll show the mother-fuckers...

The first one I got was in the post from Bill and Hayley when I submitted my first set of pics to them. I'd been into and aware of sploshing and wet and messy fun for a while, but for a lot longer it was just that weird thing I liked to do to myself.

So the first issue I got was indeed the last one made, with Mouse on the cover. Believe me if you'd told me that day that I'd be going to the studio and "working" (hahaha) with Mouse and Gilly I wouldn't have believed you.

I definetely wouldn't have believed the details of what I'd get up to with either, especially Mouse!

So issue 40 it was, and Half Baked Hotel was a great photo shoot.

Also got the Mucky Tales book, such an underrated piece of work, loads of cool stories. Yeah, no pictures, but I dread to think we all lack imagination that much.

I fell in love with it, mainly due to the saga of Alice in Gungerland!

*sigh*

I have to admit the mag, always was a source of insperation for me, probably why eventually have started doing stuff on film and pics etc. I too remember the slides from Aquantics, Driversoft, its not that long ago.

Always use too look forward to the mag arriving. I have confession its bit like Easy as, story. I found the mag in the shop in Manchester had not got any money on me so went back home to Tyldesley, got the money, also had to fill the car with petrol, then went back and bought no18 it was.

After that I was hooked.
