Well, the beach party came about, as the landlady thought no-one would want to get messy in their normal clothes (how wrong was she!?)...

Now people know the score, we're mentioning beach-wear again, plus "old clothes"... or anything you like really!

I did a preliminary poster for this event at the weekend, but there has been some criticism that the description too much like last year's. (We're not doing the Limbo Dance contest this year, for example.)

For what it's worth, this is it...

We're working on an original game, called 'Trust Your Friend'.

Your friend has to answer questions such as 'What is 2+2?' or 'What is the capital of England?'. If your friend gets those questions wrong (well, you can see how hard they are), then you get a bucket of gunge over your head.

Mind you, I think we're gonna shove people in the Cage more than anything, and you have to be in the right position for the trough to drop its load over you.

Definitely a mass pie fight at the end though, if that counts.

I guess if you make yourself a willing volunteer on the night, there's a good chance!

I'm doing all I can to get the pub to pay up for even more Natrosol powder. We've still got the same quantity as last year, but now they know more people are coming, they realise more pies/gunge is going to be needed.

I'd pay for it myself (like last year), but I've already spent a fortune on costumes this year!

Of course, the first few gunge buckets are reserved for those in comedy sketches. The rest will be used on the Cage, but I would like a gunging to be the 'punishment' in some of our games.

To indicate if you're attending, there's this Facebook event URL:

Very professional media - if that doesn't pack the place with Tiswas fans then nothing will.
It wasn't that long ago that I'd punch someone in the face when they pissed me off; now I just delete them from Facebook - that'll show the mother-fuckers...

I'm working on a project in Loughborough during the next few weeks so i'll try and come along.

As for whipped cream, i totally agree on the argument that shaving foam is far better in so many ways.

I actually appeared in a femdom video in New York a couple of months ago and they insisted on whipped cream to my horror. I spent the flight home being able to still smell it on myself. Most unpleasant. Shaving foam is much better whether for fetish or comedy value.

Easily done, it's one of the most friendliest pubs in town.

Please put me down for 'Trust your friend'

Right, to you and all other people asking to be in messy games, I've got this to say...

We're getting a bigger crowd in than last year. How big, I'm not sure. Hence it could be a problem if you want to volunteer for a messy game, as so many other people want to join in.

However, we are having LOADS of games. That hour-long video on YouTube is actually quite short, as we literally lost the script, so it ended a bit earlier than it should have done. This year, we are definitely more organised.

So there is a good chance of a messy game for everyone that really wants it.

To give yourselves good priority, please pop down to the Horseshoe a few hours before the event. I will be in there from 2pm, running round like a madman to get things organised, performing rehearsals, mixing up gunge, creating pies, shouting at staff/volunteers to do their roles, etc, etc...

Just ask any bar staff for "Pete" and they'll point you in my direction, wherever I'll be! That way, I'll know what you look like, and I can have you down for whatever game you wanna play.

Or failing that, you could just make an 'I heart the phantom' badge and see if he favours you with a pie :)
