Hi Haley I too love PVC rainwear and have a collection of macs in various colours for both wearing in the rain and sploshing, I couldn't believe we both love the same thing, anytime you fancy a walk in the pouring rain in our macs, then give me a shout or a sploshing session. I also have various wellies, normal length, thigh length and chest waders. You simply can't beat getting togged up and going for a walk in the pouring rain. I also love wearing knee, above the knee, thigh and chaps boots the higher the heel the better. Would love to discuss this further with you, take care T X

Hi

Sorry I haven't been posting. I am stuck abroad trying to save my boss from the recession! I have been reading the forum though just unable to contribute as he has his head over my shoulder most of the time.

Always happy to talk about macs, boots and mess or walking in the rain (precious little of that round here!) You are best to contact me at shinyhayley@yahoo.com and I will try to chat when he isn't bullying me into trying to get people to pay more for the services to their villas.

Love from a warm climate

PS This mac is white PVC from Pure Originals. Sorry it doesn't shine in the photo!

I also love a nice PVC mac, and wellies! I've had a few... a few have actually died in the line of duty (my last session makes two pairs of pink wellies destroyed with custard or gunge..).

In fact, this Sunday just gone, when it really persisted it down, I was rather lucky and my new purple PVC mac—a really nice custom double-breasted mac with black buttons from PVC-U-LIKE!—had just got here, along with my matching purple wellies...

Timing like that is a gift, so naturally I took full advantage of it, and went for a long walk in the rain! It was brilliant, very liberating and awesome fun. When I eventually got to town, there was a market on, and I went around the shops and stalls for quite a bit.

The reactions were rather interesting.

I lost count of the number of glances and double-takes I got; but after all, it was raining (heavily), and I was wearing rainwear.

Total number of chavs laughing: 2. (But who cares about those?)
Total number of people who said my coat was awesome and wanted to know where I got it: 3. (One shop assistant in Lush, and two people who actually stopped me in the street to tell me they loved it.)

There we have it, people: Rainwear and its effect on social situations. :)

And hi, Hayley! *waves* Good to see you again, even if you're stuck abroad and being worked to the bone! Good luck out there, and I hope you can return to the wet and 'miserable' UK soon. :)
