Dear Bill and Hayley,
I see that your energies are mainly focused on the web side of things these days, but I was wondering if there are any plans for Splosh! magazine to reappear.
I was also wondering how well it would sell in today's climate of free WAM on the internet - I mean, there must be over 10,000 free WAM pics on the internet. Maybe more than 100,000. Do you think it would still sell well enough to make it worthwhile??
I know I used to buy Splosh every issue - but that was at a time when it was pretty much the ONLY WAM available (except occasional TV and movie WAM).
Still - some loyalty must still be there. Splosh pretty much paved the way for UK WAM, after all. I was always surprised a few more similar magazines didn't pop up over the years.
What do you think?

Splosh! Magazine
What we think is pretty well documented now already!
Magazines are hugely expensive to produce and printers have to be paid by a strict time limit. As things stand there is no way a regular magazine would be able to cover its costs in that time. However, it might pay for itself over a longer period so the occasional 'special' might be viable.
Some people do like a 'printed' product but by far the majority are busy getting their free kicks off the net without the embarrassment of buying or receiving a magazine. So frankly the days of SPLOSH! magazine being the focal point of messy stuff are probably over. Sad but true. However what we hope to achieve is bit by bit to give this site the same feel and sense of humour the mag had.
I hope we are starting to achieve this.

I'd say you ARE starting to achieve it - with the added bonus of a community feel these forums offer.
I like the idea of one-off specials. Especially since you could recycle existing material.
How do you like this idea: 'Splosh's Greatest Hits' (or Splosh's Wettest Splats')
You could make them like collectors' 'volumes' consisting mainly of pictures taken from Splosh's past. In fact I'd say you have enough material in the vaults to release several volumes (perhaps augmented by new material).
I think there are plenty of younger, newer wammers who'd love to see that early Splosh! material.
I, myself, started buying Splosh! from number 5 or 6 onwards, and always wondered about the colour sections of the first 4 issues. My favourite Splosh shoot ever is still Wendy and Susie (I think it's issue seven). My God - that shoot alone provided me my jollies over 100 times over the years!

I used to be an avid reader of Splosh! magazine. I bought every edition from No2 onwards and I still have most of them. In it's day it was brilliant and the only real source of WAM that I had access to at the time. However times move on and I agree that it would be difficult to make it viable these days.
Having said that this site is a great substitute and is probably now the WAM site I visit most frequently, so what I used to get from the magazine I now get from this site. Thinking back to the days of the magazine I used to have to wait 2 months for the next magazine where as now there is something new to read every time I switch on my PC!
Thanks to the Splosh team for continuing to be the number one supplier of WAM material.

I would like to see a ' Special ' every now and then ! I do like a magazine format for a lot of stuff as I prefer to read off of paper not a screen ! That goes for lots of stuff, for example I print emails off at work to read them a lot of the time . . . .
Well that might make me a Luddite but put me down for an advance order when the time comes !

Who ate all the pies ? What a waste of pie !
I'd still buy it! There was nothing quite like that feeling of sneaking a new copy of Splosh into the house, hands aquiver, and stashing it under my mattress for later.
Look, if you're all going to throw pies around would you mind throwing them at me!!!

Would be great to see a special say once every 2 years I'm sure many people would buy one to keep their collections complete.
What's good is this site has more and more content like the mags and I look forward to the day when we can see full on Splosh Style downloads. Gilly's House is great slapstick of the foam pie genre but I was also a big fan of the baked beans, custard, tinned spaghetti and buckets of batter in the splosh centre spreads. Will look forward to seeing these once again either in a mag or online or both
