Hello, I reckon it would be really nice if we could have a chat room here at splosh, i am very bad sleeper and love chatting, but find certain chat rooms (messy ones), a bit intimidating and frankly, boring, i appreciate this probably isnt possible, but it would be a nice idea, maybe one day ? I would help moderate it if i was needed, so no nasty knickers get in :). Should we have a poll just so i feel important?

Hi

Yes, it's a good idea if there are reliable people to moderate it 24 hours a day. Sadly that wouldn't be me cos it would be too much like hard work! Fun but demanding. Also, we don't tend to have a lot of people on here at once so I'm not sure how popular it would be. besides, this forum is a bit ike a chatroom at busy times.

What do people think of the existing chatrooms? I don't go any more due to lack of time.

Chatrooms are ok BUT I HATE PM'S within the chatroom. If u want to chat keep it to the main room.

I do tend to agree with Hayley though, i think this is still a predominately UK forum and late at night there is nobody browsing the forums i have noticed.

I dont know if it would work, the forum here is very much like a pub atmosphere as the threads change all the time. This alone is a great idea their are so many sites you go on, and put a comment on, then you get slammed cos your going 'off topic' I just dont feel it would work at the mo.

I'm not a fan of chatrooms, doubt I'd ever use one. I prefer being able to post a forum comment and then come back to see the responses a few hours later, and have time to think about replies before posting them.

The special that we did at New Year was great fun and I would enjoy something similar at a pre-arranged date for a limited time; However, for the reasons stated above I don't think it would work as an ongoing thing.

We've never been in a chat room so although we voted "jolly jape" it was rather an uninformned one. :?

Like what we did on yahoo, worked quite well!

Definitely more the the designated chat evening. The Christmas one was fun (not that I saw a lot of it). We will definitely do that again. I'm not sure we need a full time chat room - except for night owls like Josie and Dolly who chat amongst themselves anyway.

Thats cool :D Maybe then we can designate a chat room night, one that people agree on, and which can be moderated so no lurky annoying people who pm you saying "Have you got cam? Get messy for me you bitch", cant get away with it, sorry if the idea was a bit much, i went in UMD and turned off pm but was hounded to death, thats why i brought it up, a designated night is probably a better idea, thanks for answering my rather wierd and unintentionally crap poll

It was a genuinely interesting question. We are always looking for new ideas and ways to improve facilities for sploshers around the world without competing with existing services (unless they are shite). The Chat Night seems the perfect compromise. And no PMs...

Do folks like Tony Blair and others like him often harass sploshers in chat rooms then? :?
