This will take place at The Bridge Hotel, Castle Garth, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 1RQ on Saturday 21st September from 2pm. This will be followed by a meal in the evening for those able to stay, probably at a very nice tapas restaurant just around the corner.

This is a vanilla meet. All over 18 from anywhere are welcome and entry is free.

Directions

From the railway station. Turn right out of the main exit and walk along Neville Street keeping the station and the Station Hotel on your right hand side. Follow the road as it forks off to the right and you will end up at the north end of the High Level Bridge. The pub is right next to it.

From the coach station. Turn right down Westmorland Road road past the Centre for Life. You will then find the railway station on your right hand side and follow the directions given above.

Driving. The nearest car park is Dean Street multi storey - £1.30 per hour until 5pm then free after that.

From the South. Get to the A1/A167 junction just north of Washington. Take the A167 turn off and the Gateshead (south) exit. Keep going up this road for about 15-20 mins and you will meet the Tyne Bridge. Cross it and take the first slip road immediately after. Turn first left into Mosley Street then first left again into Dean Street. The car park is halway down on the left hand side.

From the North. Get to the A1/A167 junction at Kenton. Follow the A167 into town and take the last slip road before the Tyne Bridge, marked A186. Mosely Street is the 3rd exit on the roundabout then first left into Dean Street and first left to the car park.

Car park to pub.Turn right out of the car park and walk back up to Mosley Street. Turn left and walk along to the next junction where the cathedral is. Turn left and keep walking past the bus stops. You will get to the north end of the High Level Bridge and the pub is right next to it.

Flying. Anyone flying in can to get a metro from the airport to the central station (c.30 mins) then follow the directions from the railway station.

Hotels. Sleeperz on Westgate Road and Premier Inn Newcastle Quayside are the most coveniently placed hotels which are reasonably priced. There is a travelodge slightly further away and the albatross hostel on Grainger Street for those on a budget. There may well be other deals on hotel websites such as lastminute, laterooms etc.

When replying please could you tell me whether you want to stay for dinner as I will need to get a rough idea of numbers.

I will be sat with an A to Z so you can recognise me and I hope to welcome as many of you as possible.

Looking forward to it already.

Wamadeus.
