More chances to catch Circus Hilarious

Postby BillShipton » 04 Aug 2010, 11:05

As those of you who read the blog (both of you) know I am a keen fan of Circus Hilarious, Clive Webb's touring slapstick clowning and magic show.

Well if you missed them in the Spring, they are back on tour in the autumn and Clive Webb and Danny Adams are in panto (Robin Hood) in Newcastle on Tyne (where hopefully they will do their famous slosh decorating routine). Their theatre show dates include

11th Sept Felixstowe Spa Pavilion
18th Sept Clacton Princes Theatre
19th Sept Tunbridge Wells Assembly Halls
10th Oct Dartford Orchard Theatre
16th Oct Retford Majestic Theatre
23rd Oct Scarborough Futurist Theatre
24th Oct Halifax Victoria Theatre
26th Oct Llandudno Venue Cymru
27th Oct Rochdale Gracie Fields Theatre
28th Oct Preston Charter Theatre
29th Oct Blackburn Thwaites Empire
30th Oct Dumfries Theatre Royal

Their wettest routines are saved for more circus-style venues like the Hippodrome in Great Yarmouth (worth a weekend away I reckon next Spring) and judging from these photos on their site http://www.circushilarious.co.uk now include their female dancers as well!

Do catch the show. It's genuinely very funny.

Bill

Thanks for that info, Bill. I might be able to get to the Llandudno booking. :D

(I'm a great fan of the Circus generally, not just the wet and messy bits....it has a great history as a form of popular entertainment, and deserves supporting. )

Is it too late to run away and join? Do circuses accept kinky middle aged ladies?

It looks a great show - wish it was touring a bit closer to me!
