loads of heavy rain sat night sun morning
getting caught in the rain when not expecting or planning to get wet is a real great feeling as its not planned and youre not really wearing clothes you would normally use for a soggy walk
i got caught in a huge downpour in a short velvet dress, tights and flat pumps
wow, trying to stay dry or not get completely soaked was out the question, i did try but i got drenched, normally i wear heels in the rain, but i had flatties on, and they soon started to fill up with water without even trying, they certainly felt great
later on after i had been home there was another huge downpour so i got dressed up, dress and heels and a jacket this time and drove out to follow the storm, again i got wet in an unplanned way first of all
driving up the A10 there was a few places that were flooded that i'd never seen as bad, i drove few a few of them without problem, trying to catch up with the rain,
my car being a rear engine one does deep water good
i hit a puddle that slowwed the car right down, it was very deep, i dropped it into second and ploughed through, all of a sudden i felt water sloshing over my feet,
right where the brake and clutch are is the hole for the steering shaft to meet the steering rack, i know the last time i changed the rack the rubber seel was not in the best shape, well, yay for that
once out the other side i parked up and went for a walk by the flood and got soaked by passiing cars and lorries, they all had to slow down so it was more of a gental slosh
good thing was, there was a under pass for pedestrians right there, so the water sloshed out of the puddle ran down the steps and into the under pass, i waded through that and it was waist deep,
i'd love it to have been a work day morning to see how many people would try crossing that
great night,
