ok bee under bonnet time
i been driving for over 20 years, for the first time this winter i saw a woman walking two young kids home who were wearing reflective jackets
wow what a brilliant and simple idea i thought
i saw them before i saw anything else save for other car lighting
now here in the UK 100% of all school uniforms that i have seen are made up from dark colours for good reason,
wouldn't it make sence to have a compusary reflective design on all school uniforms,
i'm looking to get some feed back on this so can you give some feed back
thanks
Bobby
sorry for the off topic subject, looking for as much feed back as possible

Re: Off Topic Q and feedback, school uniforms
My thoughts on school uniforms:
Why bother having any in the first place? A waste of money if you ask me...
My old school have brought in a new rule saying that the uniform isn't enough - you have to buy a jacket as well
Thank god I left there 15 years ago... Mind you even then I was only in on average 3 days a week!!!

I like pies and I like gunge but which is better? There's only 1 way to find out - FIGHT!!!

That's actually quite an interesting thought Laura. However, such stripes are normally only on the warmer waterproof overjackets at present.
When it's dark, you'd think they would normally be wearing those anyway to keep warm. Therefore, so long as the school stipulates that overjackets must have reflective material in them then that should cover it. That would be the best of both worlds since it wouldn't impair the smart appearance of the blazers but would ensure that they could be seen on the way home.

When I was at school you could buy reflective armbands, which were yellow with a silver reflector stripe.
Can you still buy those and would they be nearly as good?

they would but its getting kids to remember or want to put them on, if there was a design or strip on the skirt, trousers, jacket etc there wouldn;t be the need to check
