A MESST RIDE - NEARLY!

Hi all - went for a spin on my dirt bike yesterday for the first time this year in attempt to cheer myself up and wow - were some of the tracks muddy! There was one section about 2 foot deep in liquid clay where the 4 by 4s had churned it up. I managed to get through it but it was tempting to fall off and have a wallow omly prob would be riding back afterwards as its about 15 miles from my home. Anyone think i ought to give it a go and any suggestions as to waht i could wear?

Today was my first trip out of the year and though it hadn't rained for a few days, I still managed to get muddy up to just above the ankles. That's nothing you may say, but I thought I'd be restrained and not look too obvious to the wife. The mud was really gooey, sticky and slippery which was great to play in. I prefer to go out when it's raining as then it's a given I'll come back smothered in mud and soaked to the skin. It also means the local fields will offer ample opportunity for play, some of them knee deep when stood up which means right over the waist when I sit down in it.

Like you I used to worry about getting home all messed up but for a long time now don't care. So what if the neighbours see me smothered in mud and sopping wet? They'll either have a chat to find out what happened and a laugh at the story I spin them, keep quiet while being secretly jealous that they want to get muddy too, or ignore me and carry on with their own lives. Many times I've cycled a long way with mud literally dripping from me and have been seen by loads of people. For me, being seen adds to the thrill of being wet and muddy. I've also been seen while wallowing in mud and had a few nice jokey comments. No-one's ever been rude. Sometimes I wait near a regular mud play spot and when I see someone coming will walk or cycle through it and accidently on purpose slip over and make a huge splat!!! More often than not ladies like to see a fit man in skintight lycra all wet and muddy and I'm more than happy to oblige. It's then double the fun cleaning the mud of the bike and me with the hose and I then get sopping wet all over again.

Don't worry about what people think, go for it!!!

Im just getting ready to go out but its turned really cold today so not sure what to wear- anyone want to know what i get up to?

Well I finally did it! Last nite under cover of darkness - what a wimp! - i went back to explore. i cheated and drove instead of riding, then walked the half mile up the track to the mud hole.
As it was a cold nite, i wore an old one piece wetsuit with an old waterproof top and wellies - the wetsuit is dark blue so it just looked like running bottoms beneath my top.
At first i thought it had dried up a lot as walking in the dark was quite easy, but eventually i literally stumbled on the really wet patch! in one step, both boots had sunk below the surface and liquid mud quickly filled both boots!
I quickly thew off my top and walked up and down to find the deepest bit - i think more trucks had been through as there was one spot nearly thigh deep!
I dropped to me knees and sat back on my heels - the mud then was above my waist and i could feel the wetness soaking everywhere!
I played and rolled around untill i was covered up to my shoulders - i really enjoyed myself but was a bit worried about someone finding me.
After about 10 mins i washed off as much as possible in a watery puddle and put my top back on to walk back to the car.
I had a fun time when i got home once i could unzip and get to the important bits lol.
i want to go again soon - u think it may be nearly deep enough to flood my waders!! what do you think?
