why

Postby messyamature » 03 Nov 2008, 07:01

just a question to ponder, why are we bothering with setting up splunch, when we really just want to get messy. im all for a nice meet, but surely w'd prefer just to set up a messy session, turn up and enjoy xx

I can do a night in the pub in Sheffield sometime. The Harley is near my mate, Jo.

We both went to the Nottingham House in Sheffield once! But that was a couple of years ago and I believe it has changed hands.

I know Bill is looking for an excuse to see our friend Jo (and was planning to at the cancelled North West meet) so if something gets arranged in Sheffield, I am sure he'd be there.

The above is all true! An excuse to visit Jo would be good and you can stay at The Harley really cheaply - though it is noisy!

meet

Postby messyamature » 12 Nov 2008, 06:55

any day during the week would be better for us, less excuses to be made and easier to arrange child care etc., but if everyone prefers the saturday, guess it'll have to be the 13th then lol xx.

having earlier expressed interest, i'll have to jib out of the 13th i'm afraid - prior engagement in run up to xmas.

weekdays are often better for me as i can sometimes plan my work/travel schedule to suit.

really really hope it goes well. noticed a couple of threads about meetings in the north now and it would be great to have something on a more regular basis up here.

well, that's one new year's resolution sorted out then!!

enjoy!!
