Interesting pictures, thanks.
To be honest, I don't think that you will get many people willing (able?) to pay 50euros for a DVD. It's about £40 UK money...and this at a time when most of us are having to watch priorities in spending.
(In passing, I think that Bill and Hayley are right in pricing their downloads fairly....
. I'm sure that they'll get far more buyers and a better return overall than if they'd tried to charge $40 each.)

When people first started making messy films back in the late 1980s/early 1990s, they charged £40 a time for them cos people had no choice. I have never approved of that idea. Mess should be for everyone not just those that can afford it. £40 for a CD of stills is very expensive and you will doubtless get a few takers as it is an unusual sight BUT you will alienate a lot more. Far better to make a small profit per CD and sell a lot of them in my view.
But then I am not exactly Sir Alan Sugar....

Absolutely right....I wouldn't (couldn't afford to) pay $40 for one of the Splosh downloads, however good I thought they would be.
As it is, I downloaded one for $8, (which I didn't mind losing if it was no good!)....it was, in fact, great, I've already downloaded another, and I'm sure that I shall continue to buy one every few weeks.
So Bill will soon get more than $40 from me, he's happy, I'm a happy customer, and the world is a nicer place.

Sir Alan would be proud.
Interesting concept but the price is all wrong.
Bill and Hayley have just opened their download store and I purchased 3 videos for less than 15 quid and these are vids I have been waiting ages to buy online.
In the UK we are having a bit of a bad time financially I had to choose between redundancy or a cut in pay of 20% so the company could keep solvent, so I took the pay cut and that is with soaring food and petrol prices. Also the credit card companies are reducing peoples credit limits so its becoming more difficult to use this type of credit anymore.
If you charged more like 15 Euros (still more than a Splosh download) you are nearer what would be acceptable here and you should get more sales but 50 Euros no chance sorry.

All other things being equal, then, as everyone suggests, the lower the price, the greater the sales. However, in this particular case, and from past comments and my own experience, there might well be a fairly limited market for these pictures anyway, which somewhat negates the potential value in reducing the price.
Oh - and the consensus on commercial WAM sites seems to favour video over stills - which is my preference too. Personally, I'd happily consider paying a good way beyond average for more unusual material that was effectively difficult to get - but as others have commented, the (potential) recession means that £38 might be a difficult sell to most - depends on your cost model, and how many you'd need to shift.

It wasn't that long ago that I'd punch someone in the face when they pissed me off; now I just delete them from Facebook - that'll show the mother-fuckers...
