They made a couple of mistakes in their obit of PR to which I emailed corrections and they printed. They also asked for a funny storiy or two which I supplied.

Not old enough to have worked during Raymond's 60s/70s heyday which is probably what the programme was about. I came in at the twilight of his porn career.

So you came in at the shag-end of his career?

Sorry to be late to this topic, but the NY Times ran his obit. They didn't discuss what actually happened to his daughter (reported as a suicide), but did mention that his second fortune was in real estate.

I think Debbie died from a drugs overdose but I don't know if it was intentional or not.

Sorry, should have said the TV programme is UK only.

PR was far wealthier through property than anything else. he owns most of Soho in Central London!

His daughter died of a drink/drugs OD which was described as accidental at the time. It was also made out in the press that she was a sex-mad, drinker druggy when in fact she was a very pleasant lady who liked a few drinks and the odd recreational snort. She was however very ill, something she kept quiet, and many who knew hr claim she deliberately ODed to prevent a slow painful death. The jury's out on that one...

Thank you, Bill, for refreshing my memory. The NY Times obit did mention his timely investments in SoHO real estate.

I do believe it was you who first mentioned how his daughter actually died.

Might watch the Chicago Cubs today.
