Ouch, sorry to ear that - though better to have it operated on than not.

Get well soon, and a speedy recovery!

Having had a major stomach op myself a few years back and as Hayley said know someone who had one at Christmas, I am extremely sympathetic. If you need to chat to someone who has been through it, give me a call sometime. In the meantime, take great care and look after yourself, matey. That gunge doesn't mix itself!

Best wishes

  Thanks everyone for your kind comments.

I admit i only told several people about this and had no idea it would end up as a thread on here, i feel rather humble actually.

Anyways the op went well, it was apparently nothing too major as far as the surgeon was concerned and it was done by keyhole surgery via my navel (ouch, i cannot bear to even have that touched normally)

The lump removed was benign and apparently had been there some time as well, but they wanted it out.

I got home yesterday (wednesday late pm).

Many thanks to Weston Park Hosp @ Sheffield. and also again to everyone here

Well done, Dids, we're all very relieved. Mine was benign too but caused by Crohns which I now have permanently. I hope you don't. Ad no keyhole surgery for me.I have a stomach like a hot cross bun.

Take it easy. I know how sore everything is for a while.

And good news.

Relieved to hear that it was benign! Hopefully you'll be back on form by the time the warmer weather is here and the mud season starts again in earnest...
