No 18 starred Sammy and Gilly and is 'probably' our most popular issue, though it's not my personal favourite. We still have a storeroom full of back issues, unfortunately!! Sadly it doesn't include anything before No 12. We only have one each of Nos 1 to 11 ourselves.
And don't talk to me about age! I was in my 30s then, living in London and working for just about everybody. Didn't have any life, of course, but, boy, was I good at working! Where has all that energy gone? (Down the pub toilet?).
One BIG advantage for me over the old days though is that then we didn't take our own pictures, instead we relied on people like Mike Ellison and Colin Twyford to sell us their 'cast-offs' . It was only when we started shooting our own stuff both on stills and video that it became really fun to do.
Even so, those early days of Hayley unloading bin bags full of mail-outs at my flat in Forest Hill at 1am after stuffing them at her flat in Streatham were amazing times!

Thanks to Splosh magazine! Where it all started for me.
Starting Splosh sounded pretty tough going but tremendous fun Bill.
Much easier now with digital SLRs and a half decent camcorder!
I should have a look through, see what issues I'm missing after number 12 and place an order.
Had a quick look on the Artscene/Aquantics website. Doesn't seem to be anything new on there.
It's good having the Splosh Forum... I much prefer it to the UMD one. Which is much bigger! I would rather post pics here.
It's taken me long enough to post in the first place!
Not long til pub time
Cheers

My own introduction was via Splosh magazines, and I still have most from about No 12 onwards (now in the attic...must have another look at them). I remember looking out for them on the news-stand in Nottingham where I then worked....they were out of reach at the back, and you had to take a deep breath and pluck up courage to ask the rather attractive girl assistant to pass one over.
Then buying some of the various videos, which, sadly, I passed on when I went to work abroad for a time....regret that now, as they could have been put in safe storage with the mags.
