We went to the bayou again, but earlier this time. So the pics came out better.

Here's a peek looking downstream from near the top. It's nearly low tide. At high tide the grass on the side is under water.

The mud in the reeds is an interesting color, and it smells great!

I worked in this area nearby, in the grass. The difference in color is interesting.

Some parting shots. There is a large bare mud area near the top of the bayou. These pics (at the end) show less than half of it.

This one is a little more convincing. We took 70 photos and selected the best 15 to post. This one didn't quite make the grade.

Isn't it funny - whenever I see a place that looks like fun to fall into, I do? Hmmm, how does that work I wonder...
