You're clearly using the wrong kind of custard. We use custard all the time and it stays very messy indeed, especially when the girls end up rolling about on the floor in a pool of it. In fact if anything it's not really runny enough as it's tricky to pour down the inside of an outfit without spilling some down the outside, though practice helps here.
Yet again I find Myself in full agreement..... stonecastle, where are you getting your custard!
