found it! whoever put the video up has replaced the soundtrack for some reason (?!) but the video remains how I remember it. A few fast cut shots of the salt'n'pepa girls messing in mud.

would love to see the unedited footage....

In the video "Our Lips are Sealed," the Go Go's swim in a public fountain with their clothes on.
Kate Bush also swam with her clothes on in the video for "Breathing."

Fergie of the Black Eyes Peas has started a solo project. In one of her
videos. Title "Ferglious" I think that's how it's spelled, She and two other
woman roll aroun in some cake like mess. She smears some stuff over
herself while she's alone then gets into a playful fight witht two other
women.
And Swing It!!!

I remember in the early 80s there was a video where the band members covered each other in what looked like paint.

I have no idea who the band were or what the song was. It is just one of those hazy recollections. I don't know why, but the words Depeche and Mode seem to spring to mind.

Much more recently Green Day's American Idiot video had lots of green gunge in it.

For you Hayley:

Its hardly the best gunge in the world but then there aren't many videos featuring it at all.

I remember a song called "Little Miss" (can't remember the name of the band) and there's plenty of paint (I think) thrown around in that vid... Probably the same band that others have been talking about...

I remember a video by The J Giles Band where they each pulled dangling ropes to get different coloured paint poured over them - I think they all started out dressed in white. Was either the follow-up or prelude to 'Centerfold'.

I'm sure I'vementioned this on here before but Take That's first video, when they were chasing the "pink pound", featured the lads, all mostly unrobed, having a food fight. I seem to remember a few bare arses in it, too. Can't for the life of me remember what the track was called, though.
Look, if you're all going to throw pies around would you mind throwing them at me!!!

Yeah it was called Do what you like and featured a fair amount of jelly and whipped cream.

On a similar note, Frankie Goes To Hollywood's video for Two Tribes featured Reagan and his Russian counterpart mud wrestling if I recall.
